OneBC: Protecting Communities from Organized Crime and Deadly Drugs
The spread of fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin through organized criminal networks has become one of the most serious public safety crises facing our province.
These drugs are destroying lives, devastating families, and claiming innocent victims every day. OneBC recognizes that this crisis demands decisive leadership and real accountability.
Our party is committed to confronting organized crime head-on. Criminals involved in the production, trafficking, and distribution of illegal drugs must be held fully accountable for the harm they cause.
A single arrest is not enough to dismantle sophisticated, international criminal organizations that simply relocate and continue operations elsewhere.
OneBC will prioritize protecting our ports, supply chains, and borders from being exploited for the importation of precursor chemicals and illegal substances.
We will strengthen enforcement, improve coordination between agencies, and ensure that laws are applied effectively and consistently.
Most importantly, we believe it is the responsibility of elected leaders to protect citizens from being targeted by life-altering and deadly drugs. Public safety must come first.
OneBC is committed to restoring confidence in our institutions, protecting our communities, and taking meaningful action to stop this ongoing crisis.
Police in British Columbia say they’ve dismantled the ‘largest, most sophisticated drug superlab’ in Canadian history, confiscating 89 guns and hundreds of kilograms of drugs. Andrew Chang breaks down information from the RCMP and drug manufacturing experts about what makes this lab so sophisticated and how far-reaching this criminal network might be.
