Pronouncing what he called America’s new ‘Declaration of Independence’, US president Donald Trump on Wednesday unveiled sweeping tariffs on the world’s economies, excluding USMCA trading partners Canada and Mexico.

Speaking to a packed crowd in the Rose Garden of the White House, Trump ran the proceedings like a Bar Mitzvah host while a Marine Band played music.

In doing so, he vowed to ”Make America Wealthy Again” (MAWA) and deliver his long-awaited wrath on various enemies and foreign governments — including, but not restricted to his Two Amigos Canada and Mexico — although both trading partners were singled out for special derision.

  1. Ah, maybe Canadians should get off their collective butts and get a better understanding of just how “tariffs” work, just who is imposing them, and who is raking in the additional taxes from Canadians.

Simply because Canadians have been totally subject to excessive and misleading “misinformation” by the current Federal government assisted by the Federal government bought and paid for Main Stream Media (MSM) organizations, Canadians have been completely mislead into believing that it is Donald Trump from the U.S., or other countries, who are applying the “tariffs” (taxes) on Canadian made products to Canadians. That is NOT correct.

If you, as a Canadian living in Canada, wish to purchase an Item such as eggs, gasoline, bread, vehicle, etc., that is made in Canada, if there is a “tariff” on it, then that is a Canadian government imposed “Tariff” (Tax). You can blame your now known World Economic Forum (WEF) member Federal Prime Minister Mark Carney and/or your Provincial Premier.

A “tariff” (tax) is applied if the item is made in Canada and shipped to the United States for sale in the U.S. It is the Canadian government (Mark Carney) that imposes and collects the “tariff” as it crosses the border into the U.S. that increases the cost of the product to the buyer in the U.S. thus making it more expensive for the U.S. person to buy it.

If a product you wish to buy is made in the U.S., then it is the U.S. government (Trump) who imposes and collects the “tariff” (tax) as it leaves the U.S., and crosses into Canada thus making it more expensive for a Canadian to buy it, in Canada.

The reality is, it’s the Canadian Provincial and Federals governments who “love” this “tariff” b.s. because they have figured out a method to lie and cheat Canadian citizens into believing that it is the “other” guys who are applying the “tariffs” and making your day to day purchases of Canadian made products more expensive.

Remember who is cheating whom when you vote in the upcoming Federal government election on 28 April 2025. Mark Carney is NOT your “friend”, nor to be trusted.
