>a ship which is on the lowest level of the flat plain appears to fall below the horizon when in the distance but has never been seen to do so (even though it has) because sometimes you can bring it back into view with a telescope . but the sun which is far above and can’t be seen from everywhere on the flat plain because it falls below the horizon when in the distance and cannot be brought back into view with a telescope ever even though it’s above the flat plain…..
