Chart of the Day (CotD)     April 13, 2023

This is a comparison of Malawi and Canada utilizing basic statistics as per Covid-19 vaccination status and Covid-19 Related Deaths (CRDs) sourced via the website : ourworldindata.org.  Initially, one would expect a “1st World” country like Canada to have a higher standard of healthcare than a ”2nd or 3rd World” country like Malawi located in southeastern Africa.  In addition, any country with 84.4 percent of the population vaccinated against Covid-19 (versus a country with only 23.2 percent population vaccinated) would exhibit a lower death rate if the Covid-19 vaccine was actually effective.  However, this is not the case as Malawi reveals superior health data related to prevention of CRDs (i.e. Canada has a CRD rate over 10 times higher than Malawi).  It appears Health Canada should contact Malawi Ministry of Health for advice!

Remember, as per Health Canada : “Evidence indicates that vaccines and boosters are effective at helping to prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death due to COVID-19. Evidence indicates that the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines continue to outweigh the risks of the disease. Receiving an mRNA booster dose provides even better protection.”     Do you think the data supports these claims by Health Canada?
