As we all feared, Trudeau just announced he is holding on to Emergency Power
Despite every single protest of concern being systematically stomped by Trudeau – he is convinced that he needs to hold on to Emergency Power for up to 3 months.

“Hello from Radio Canada,” a state-funded journalist began following Trudeau’s speech. “The truckers could come back in two months, three months, so does that mean we would have to keep [the Emergencies Act] for another two, three months?”

“Indeed,” Trudeau responded. “This is something we are thinking about, of course.”

He further says that despite protesters being dispersed in Ottawa and every blockade being over, the emergency is not over, and he needs to retain his new power.

Invoking the Emergency Act was always unnecessary, but not it has crossed a line into the extreme. Trudeau is hoping Parliament will confirm his power tonight – and if they do – there is no stopping him.

Here’s the problem: the NDP *can’t* vote against him. If they do, it will trigger an election that they are not prepared to fight. Trudeau knows this – which is why he doesn’t appear even slightly concerned.

Nevertheless, we are calling on the NDP to do the right thing, even if it triggers an election, and stop Trudeau from securing unlimited and unchecked power. You can add your name to the petition if you haven’t yet by clicking here.

P.S. My live and ongoing coverage of the convoy protests and Trudeau’s emergency powers (which you can view here) has cost The Counter Signal over $10,000 in hotels, fuel, flights, and equipment. Please pitch in here at ConvoyCoverage.com if you can to help us keep our operation funded.

P.P.S. Canadians are strong, and we can get through whatever Trudeau throws at us – but it will require honest independent journalists. The mainstream media are clearly on Team Tyrant.

  1. Never forget who voted to give this power to a corrupted manchild PM. Liberals and NDP all voted for this and they voted against YOU, Me and all of Canada including fundamental freedoms, rights and values.

If you think either party believes in YOU, in Canada and our 154 year traditional values and history then I say you are ignorant fools. Even NDP lefties Tommy Douglas and Ed Broadbent spin in their graves over this crap. I use to be an NDP (now seen as naive) voter as a young man as they still held some traditional blue collar, working family values. Broadbent would have been out there with the truckers had he still been alive today, unlike the pinko POS Singh and his HATEFUL, RACIST, BIGOTED LYING VIEWS!!!

VOTE OUT IN THE NEXT ELECTION EVERY MP WHO VOTED TO GIVE A SPOILED MANCHILD PM. SUCH POWERS!

  2. I would say that our last election was highjacked. When you look at only 65% of the people voted, only 32 % voted for trudeau, actually that is only 20.8%, was he helped along with the missing 2015,000 votes that did not get counted. Did new immigrants that he brought to Canada voted for them? If so they should not be allowed to as they have no clue about Canadian politics, should only be able to vote once 5 years of residence as been done. That is how he got in. If we voted by the number of votes, which is the way it should he would not be sitting in power the Conservatives would be in power.
