As you have heard on Forum Daily News, B.C. Premier David Eby is looking into suspending the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act also known as DRIPA which many would argue puts the rights of property landowners at risk. The premier says more than 20 lawsuits against the province have been amended to reflect a BC Court of Appeal ruling that has been the basis of his government’s push to overhaul the act. The interim leader of OneBC, Dallas Brodie, says Premier Eby is only wanting to suspend DRIPA to get the public off his back and then will bring it back later with minor changes. She explained in this recent interview with me.
