WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange, 50, suffered a ministroke in late October due to the extreme stress of fighting extradition to the US from the UK’s maximum-security Belmarsh Prison, leaving him with a drooping right eyelid, memory problems, and signs of neurological damage. On December 10, 20221, the UK High Court granted the US its request to extradite Assange, a request it had previously blocked due to Assange’s declining mental health. A few years ago, a UN reporter said that Assange showed “all the symptoms typical for prolonged exposure to psychological torture.”
UPDATE: Julian Assange’s father said during an interview live-streamed on November 15th that his son was vaccinated in prison and appeared to suggest he was pressured into it because he feared retaliation. Strokes have been linked to Covid vaccines.
