Monday, the 16th of February, while Canadians were enjoying Family Day, a man named Robert Dorgan opened fire at a youth hockey game in Rhode Island, targeting his ex-wife and son. After murdering three people and wounding two others, he then turned his gun on himself and committed suicide. Robert Dorgan also went by the aliases Roberta Esposito and Roberta Dorgano and identified as a trans-female, making this the second time in as many weeks that a transgender person murdered their own family members, then targeted others within North America. But we’re not supposed to notice that, and it might even be illegal to suggest that gender identity had anything to do with these horrific crimes. So, today, we are going to take a look at the role that the Conservative Party of Canada played in making it this way, legally, in Canada…
