While hikers do burn fuel, they do so at a temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The flash point of dried grass, leaves and wood is between 500 and 550 degrees Fahrenheit. This provides a safety margin of about 400-450 degrees for hiking in Nova Scotia woods, assuming the laws of physics are still operative there. This ban makes no sense.
