Let me use an old saying.
THE FIRST CASUALTY IN WAR IS THE TRUTH!
Regardless of where one stands here I will note that if you live in a western nation you are NOT getting the full story but are being spun propaganda. The truth lies in the middle, but one battle Putin and Russia will not win in the west is propaganda. Every western government institution, every mainstream media and social media outlet ARE ALL IN ON PUTIN IS A TYRANT WANTING TO REMAKE THE USSR! Too many of us lap up the propaganda.
I’m not defending all Putin does but only stating we are NOT seeing both sides and that is what the neo-liberal, globalist cabal in the west wants us not to see. Putin and Russia can only win a short term military battle or what he wants a political battle, centered around Ukraine today.
Russia and for a while as long as it lived the USSR had and still has a fear of being squeezed and invaded. Napoleon did it and Hitler did it over the last 200 years. They caused the deaths of millions of Russians and Soviets. Look at the map and see how the west has been encroaching on MOTHER RUSSIA since the end of the Cold War and maybe you will understand why Putin and the Russians feel and act as they do.
Ukraine is a RED LINE. If you want more peace in the world the Ukraine must not align itself with NATO or even the EU for that matter. Ukraine must stay non-aligned but have solid political and economic relations with Russia. But the demented neo-liberal globalist cabal want to see Russia brought to its knees and I SAY THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN!
Trust Putin not, give him the benefit of the doubt but be sure to verify. TRUST NOT ANY OF OUR CURRENT WESTERN GOVERNMENTS AND MEDIA!
Lets hope this ends with negotiations and a true agreement where Ukraine signs off to NOT ever join NATO and I say add the EU to that as well.
In 2022 there is no reason for NATO to exist and it should have been disbanded by 1993. But alas it’s been a political tool as it took over former USSR republics and Warsaw Pact nations, all violated the BUDAPEST MEMORANDUM where NATO promised Russia it would not expand eastward.
So true there Les. I use say what a great country we live in,but we can’t say that anymore and I don’t blame putin,all he is doing is protecting his people unlike what we have in government here in Canada or should I say China now. I think it’s way too late for us now so the best thing we can do is just wait for the good lord to come back and destroy all the corruption. God bless 🙏
Picture Canada and the USA being surrounded by Communist China. Picture a large Chinese garrison on Greenland. Picture Communist Chinese taking control over Mexico, Central America, Cuba, and other Caribbean nations. Imagine them taking over Bermuda, militarizing it all and posing a squeeze play on the USA and Canada. How do you think the US government notably and Canadian government secondarily would react and respond to such a squeeze play and encirclement?
Lets drum it up more, imagine the Communist Chinese attempting to take defacto control over Canada. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE US GOVERNMENT WOULD DO ABOUT THAT!?!
Maybe in this context we in the PROPAGANDIZED! west can better appreciate what Putin and the Russians might feel and think about what’s going on in Europe with NATO and the Ukraine which BTW is a woefully corrupted government too.
