The Surrey School Board was served on Oct 18, 2021.

5. CHILLIWACK SCHOOL BOARD (SD33)

Nov 8, 2021 – In an official statement issued today, board vice-chair Trustee Jared Mumford said that after an evaluation process involving data shared by Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health medical officers with superintendents and board chairs, it was decided that a vaccination mandate was not necessary in school settings.

SD33 Press Release: Chilliwack Board of Education Announcement – Nov 8, 2021

The Chilliwack Board gave the same standard answer that all School Boards voting no are giving, “high vaccination and low transmission.” This is very convenient but the truth is that trustees are concerned about liability as reported by The Chilliwack Progress.

The Chilliwack School Board was served on Oct 28, 2021.

10. Sunshine Coast Board of Education (SD46)

Nov 12, 2021 –  Sunshine Coast Board of Education Chair Amanda Amaral has released the following statement regarding Covid-19 vaccination mandates for staff.

SD46 Press Release: Sunshine Coast Board of Education

“The BCCDC and VCH have repeatedly indicated that they do not believe that a public health order requiring mandatory vaccination of staff is required to ensure the safety of staff and students in schools.”

“The provincial guideline discusses the possibility of requesting voluntary self-disclosure of vaccination status by staff. Due to privacy legislation data collection would not be mandatory and with voluntary self-disclosure, there would be issues with the reliability due to incomplete data.”
