The Tories have a motion of non-confidence set to go against Justin Trudeau’s Liberals – and they could bring it in as early as Thursday.

The vote would be over Trudeau’s handling of the national rail blockades

Conservative House Leader Candice Bergen said the non-confidence motion against Trudeau government has been put on notice.

It’s one of several potential motions the Tories could put forward for Thursday’s opposition day, but no decisions have been made whether to actually bring it forward.

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh called the proposed vote “ridiculous.”

He said with an ongoing national crisis a non-confidence vote “is not the right way to go.

“”If you’ve got a national crisis, why plunge the country into an election?”
